Deborama’s Kitchen — Reviews of meal kits, market boxes, and delivery services — Part two

Sorry for the delay. It’s been almost a month since Part One. I will be reviewing the remaining five meal kit services that I have tried so far (and want to bother reviewing.) I am doing them alphabetically, and the next one is Hello Fresh. As it happens, I’m getting a box from them tomorrow, after a spell of more than a month of not getting meal kits.
I did a little spreadsheet of comparisons of meal kits, and Hello Fresh is second cheapest, after EveryPlate (which I reviewed in Part One.) Or at least it can be. They just price all the meals individually, as well as grouping them according to how easy to make, how popular, etc. They require at least three things to be ordered, but they have some “extras” you can buy, and they count as a “thing.” The range of meal prices is currently $7.49 to the high teens per serving. A normal minimum order, with the $8.99 shipping, should be $53.93, but both of my previous orders were less than that. As is the one I’m getting tomorrow.
Tomorrow’s order contains two servings each of:
* Louisiana-style tilapia, potato wedges, red cabbage slaw, remoulade
* Lemon tortellini Palermo
* Zucchini-mushroom bibimbap bowls with fried egg
