Deborama’s Kitchen — Stick to the Plan!

So that was my “lunch” there. As the spreadsheet dictates — a double black bean burger (eliminates one small box from freezer); oven fries (forgot to include in the photo, but eliminates a 1/4 full bag from the freezer); Mini Caesar Salad (uses up the last of the red leaf lettuce which is a week old and still looks and tastes very fresh — yay, new fridge-freezer, you’re doing a great job.) The bean burgers are in one high-fiber Dave’s Killer Bread bun, and topped with half an avocado and some chipotle mayo. The salad, besides the red leaf, has an entire small watermelon radish, a handful of the turmeric cauliflower (see yesterday’s post), vegan parmesan, and Cardini’s Caesar dressing (which is not even vegetarian and is the sole thing keeping this from being a vegan meal. Oh, well.)
I say lunch, but it was nearly 5:00 p.m. when I had it. I slept till almost noon again today. I saw my PCP Monday for only the second time in 2020 (the first time was in early February.) It was my Annual Medicare exam and a very fruitful visit. Among other things - some DIY solutions for foot pain, some encouragement on various self-improvements - I am going to be trying a new medication for insomnia. I tried it for the first time last night, but it was doomed from the start because I didn’t even take it until well past midnight, and started cautiously with the smaller dose recommendation. So at…
