Deborama’s Kitchen — A Hot Mess

I not only did not follow the meal plan I made the day before Thanksgiving, but I have sort of completely lost the thread. This not-too-bad flatbread, based on the recipe from the Green Chef meal kit but with some of my now rather old and suspect roasted turmeric cauliflower added, is almost the only thing I have actually prepared in the week since Thanksgiving.

Extraneous factors in my defense: I was trying a new prescribed medication for sleep. It not only didn’t help my seriously out of whack sleep pattern in the four or five days I used it, but it also disordered my digestion. As it happens, this coincided with the almost final demise of the only toilet in my two-bedroom apartment. I can sort of sparingly use it to pee, but other things (including toilet paper) are a no-no until I get the toilet replaced. Which is scheduled for Tuesday. I have to go downstairs to the guest toilet to “do my business.”

All this trouble, on top of the now normal 2020 “trouble,” kind of took away my appetite and my desire to be creative or even semi-active. So, for those following along, you will remember that I also impulsively tried out a service that delivers frozen, ready-to-heat-and-eat vegan meals.
